There have been reports of explosions in Brussels at the locations of Zaventum International Airport and in central Brussels on the Metro as the result of terrorist attacks.
The city is now on lock-down and people are advised not go to crowded places. Public transport including the Metro as well as the airport has closed down. The terror alert has been raised to the highest level. Twenty six people are reported dead and around 50 injured.
